Daoud & Attar Food Processing Co. is one of the leading companies in poultry industry in Syria. Daoud & Attar Food Processing ( DAJAJOUNA)is the most modern plant in Syria for the full automatic processing of poultry meat applying the most advance technology and international technical and health systems and in accordance with Islamic law.
This company was established in the industrial City of Hessia - Homs in 2004 with "DAJAJOUNA" trademark.
Daoud & attar Co. is a typical plant within the field of its specialty providing 100% national production and only machinery and equipment are imported.
Plant strategy and objectives:
Committed supply of health and high quality products in conformity with all the applicable laws and regulations in Syria as well as any other activity governing requirements, terms and conditions of ISO 9001: 2008 and HACCP system; a product free
of any risks that consumers might be susceptible to and in consistence with the satisfaction of customer or consumer's needs and new market demands; commitment towards continued improvement involving local and international qualified expertise and quest for the best materials that meet safety conditions and ensure both consumer and worker's health.
- Enhancement of the quality and specifications of raw and cooked poultry meat by seeking the most updated production lines and processes as well as raw material Sources (live chicken, packing and packaging materials) by way of applying strict internal control.
- Scale up staff proficiency through training courses.
- Promotion of customer's trust in the product, establishment of new local markets and movement forward to foreign markets.
- Application and use of work methods as appropriate with food industry and good manufacturing practices including GMP, Syrian standards, terms of ISO 9001:2008 as well as HACCP requirements the matter that would definitely lead to ceaseless amelioration of work and system altogether.
Daoud & Attar Co. comprises four sections:
- Broiler slaughterhouse.
- Refrigerators (0 C) ; storage chambers of frozen products (-18 C); deep freezing (-40 C).
- Further processing plant where poultry meat is processed in several forms to be ready for cooking or direct consumption (escallop - nugget - burger - kebab - popcorn - hotdog - luncheon - cold cut ....).
- Treatment plant of solid and liquid waste.
Solid waste resulting from the process is treated and converted into a byproduct (to be used as raw material for fish feed). Liquid waste is treated to be refined before disposal in wastewater systems. It implies that these plants (treatment of solid and liquid waste) maintains environment friendly relation and harmonize with environment to preclude any contamination.
